About me

Hi! My name is Jillian Silva. I am a designer and artist with a passion for creating. I aim to elevate and enhance everyday experiences through thoughtful design and focus on serving underrepresented communities through the development of physical products and visual interfaces.

Prior to Berkeley, I received a B.S. degree through the School of Individualized Studies at RIT where I focused in Access Enabled Design and Technology. During these years I gained expertise designing low cost prostheses while working with ceramic 3D printers for implications in the medical field. I also have past experience working as a product designer building physical models and digital interfaces in New York and Spain.

Currently, I am in pursuit of a Masters in Design at UC Berkeley. I am excited to create and collaborate with like minded individuals driven to bring positive change to the growing technological world.

In my free time you can find me playing guitar, making pottery, dancing at the studio, or picking up another new hobby off of Youtube.

:)
